Oklahoma Tribal Finance Consortium
October was filled with travel and speaking. I’ve needed to say no to speaking engagements for a while now, but this month I said yes to two.
First was the Women’s Leadership panel at the Oklahoma Tribal Finance Consortium. A packed room of woman (and men) came to hear us talk about our personal career journeys, whether as entrepreneurs or as Tribal Leaders. For me, it was both, and my takeaway to the audience was “Be More of You” because, seriously, we need you to be more of you.

The second speaking engagement was for The Female Quotient on Indigenous Women in the Workplace. I spoke on how culture directed my path of entrepreneurship and of the importance of Native women on boards, while also giving practical advice on how corporations can meaningfully collaborate with Native women.
